After School and SUmmer Tutoring

At RaRa, our team of retired teachers and tutors from across different school districts work with students and parents to put together a customized plan to address the student's individual learning needs. Our tutors are trained to work with students from age 3 to adults. We offer support for a variety of subjects such as:

• ELA/Reading
• Writing
• Social Studies
• Math
• Science
• Social And Emotional Learning
• Test Prep for SAT, STAAR, and ASVAB

We offer sessions throughout the year to coordinate with in classroom learning and to prevent learning loss throughout the summer. Our Hours are from currently from 4:00pm-8:00pm during the School Year, and 9:00am-1:00pm in the Summer. RARA is closed on all Klein, Spring and some HISD school professional developments, holidays, and breaks. Parents/Guardians are responsible for all transportation for on-site tutoring.

The RaRa Foundation Inc. believes that we should "View all students as full of potential rather than limited by labels and stereotypes" (Carol Dweck, Performance Values..., CEP, 2008, p.5). Our tutors begin their first session with every student by spending time getting to know each student as an individual and building trust. Students learn best when they feel comfortable and believe that they can take risks without the fear of judgement or discouragement. 

We believe in engaging our students, while connecting the lessons back to what they are learning in the classroom. Our tutors work to reinforce the material students are currently studying and inspire them by providing real world connections and creative approaches. We also utilize low stakes testing and impromptu quizzing to assess student growth and build confidence for the high stakes testing students encounter in school.

Our registration process is simple! Just follow these steps:

2. Complete the Registration Form for Each Student 
3. Submit the Document(s) with the Form Below
4. Submit the Registration Fee ($25 per student) with the Online Payment Link at the Bottom of this Page.
