The RaRa Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit formed in 2000 by Rick Anderson to address the needs for guidance and educational support for young adults throughout the Houston community.
Since then, RaRa has continued to grow thanks to the help of it's many volunteers and partners. We have adapted to the needs of the Greater Houston Community and expanded our services to extend across the United States.
Our foundation stands on the verse, "train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6, King James Version).
At RaRa, we know that we accomplish more when we all work together. We believe lasting student growth requires teamwork and collaboration with the student, the parent, teachers and administration, when possible. Consistent and open communication with everyone involved in the student's learning process plays a major role in keeping the student on track.
We also believe that a student's behavior is just as important as their academic progress. The RaRa Foundation utilizes the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) approach and incorporates Character Education in all of our programs. We focus holistically on each individual student and provide support to work through concerns that negatively impact their goals.
The RaRa Foundation strives to always adapt and expand our services to meet the needs of the young people and families we serve. We currently offer:
